The Chorus Method

From first breath
to full harmony.

Breathe from Your Belly

Feather exercises, balloon breathing, and mirror practice make breath control tangible and fun.

Match the Pitch

Solfège hand signs, pitch-matching games, and instant instructor feedback build confidence fast.

Sing in Harmony

Two-part rounds, partner songs, and full-group performances build toward a live family concert each semester.

01

Breathe from Your Belly

Every class starts with two minutes of guided belly breathing. Kids learn that a big, supported breath is the foundation of every beautiful note — not a scary thing, but a superpower.

Feather exercises, balloon breathing, and mirror practice make breath control tangible and fun.

02

Match the Pitch

With a playful call-and-response format, children discover they can find notes by ear. Instructors celebrate every attempt — the wobbly note is praised as the bravest sound in the room.

Solfège hand signs, pitch-matching games, and instant instructor feedback build confidence fast.

03

Sing in Harmony

Once individual voices are confident, the magic happens: children layer their voices and hear something bigger than any one of them. That chord landing together is the moment parents cry a little.

Two-part rounds, partner songs, and full-group performances build toward a live family concert each semester.

Age-Matched Classes

The right class
for where they are.

Every cohort is sized small enough that the instructor knows each child's name, range, and what makes them light up.

From Chorus Families

What parents say.

My daughter used to mouth the words at school concerts. After two months with Miriam, she sang her first solo in front of 200 people. I cried the whole way through.

Rachel T.

Mom of Zoe, 9

We homeschool and Chorus has become our favorite part of the week. It's structured enough to count as a real elective, but Theo makes it feel like recess.

David & Keiko M.

Parents of Sam, 7

I'm a choir director and I send my sopranos to the Junior Choir every summer. They come back in September with better breath support than I had at 20.

Middle school choir director, Atlanta
